So when I heard about this I first thought it was so crazy. This story first starts with the case of Roe vs. Wade where the supreme court granted women the right to an abortion. Now New York has passed the Reproductive Health Act which will allow for the mother to have an abortion after the 20-week span for getting one. If the fetus is alive when taken out it is protected under New York state laws. However, that's not the crazy part.
Evidence obtained by the House Select Community shows that abortion industries get the attention of the mothers by saying its for research purposes to persuade them into getting an abortion. They do this to get the organs of the unborn humans and profit from selling them. There has been action taken to stop this like the Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards of Louisiana did who signed legislation prohibiting the buying or selling organs of an aborted human. This is due to the fact that it violates the dead donor rule which says that the human donating their organs must be dead and must give consent. The legislation also says that the "human being whose fetal organs are procured does not have the capacity to consent to organ donation and because proxy consent for donation by the unborn child’s mother is invalid given that the unborn child is alive at the time the consent forms are signed." However, even when there has been a law in place there is still a lot of speculation that doctors are still doing it. They will take the babies without the mother's consent and harvest their organs. I'm not really sure what to think about this but its something to look into.
